How ready can we be?
How can so much go on, yet nothing seem to be happening? Well, we did have another midwife visit today. She went and moved our due date back to our original date... Five days farther out! I know it doesn't sound like much, but we'd been thinking that our little darling would maybe show up a bit early, any day now... To hear April 11th makes those "just a couple of days" turn into 21 days and it seems forever! Ready? We are! We have nearly everything we require, and a wondrously cute assortment it is (honest, those thank-you's are almost on their way)! I was putting together the stroller yesterday and I was thinking... "Ok, let's go! Where is she?"
Oh well, but it is all going very well, everything healthy and on target. Monday's childbirth class was a bit discomforting. The subject was Medical Intervention so we heard about: IV's, Epidural's, forceps, episiotomy, catheter's... Anyway. Though we are planning on a natural childbirth, it was an eye-opening lesson into the realities of what childbirth can be. Now we need to get to cracking on the birthplan and the hospital bags.
Regardless, we are ready and willing to move to the next (baby) step. Little baby girl? Come on down!
