My, what a busy week!

So much these days!

Where to even begin? Well, Elinor had her first movie theater experience! We went to the "mommy matinée" at the Kennedy School Theater for, yes, Hot Fuzz! Now I've been wanting to see this one a lot, but it strikes me as an odd choice for a baby film. I guess they are young enough that they don't know what's going on and they seem to like the noise, so it works. But it was a crazy action movie with some gore and a lot of loudness! And it was great fun! It was quite well attended and everyone there had a baby... so crying and standing up and walking back and forth were no big deal. We may try to attend this on a more regular basis.. Maybe every week?

And then yesterday we made big improvements in our little home. We moved Midge's room out from the kitchen into our bedroom and then moved the TV from the bedroom into the kitchen. I know, it doesn't sound like much, but it is a big improvement aesthetically, functionally and comfortably. It's nice to have her cradle right there while we sleep.

Musically she has a fun week, listening to lots of Leonard Cohen (Songs of Love and Hate) and the new Wilco (getting ready for her first "big" concert" in August) and then she was thrilled today to get a great surprise present in the mail, her first piece of rock n roll clothing for the greatest band in the history of the universe (photos to follow)!

Saving the best for last... We finally went out and got her one of those mats you lay on the floor and you can dangle toys from and, while laying on it, she rolled over for the first time! And then tried a second time but ran into the arch! Needless to say, it was very exciting! She hasn't seemed to interested in repeating it, but it was great to witness.

Awesome t-shirt! I actually considered something just like that, but wasn't sure if your Mrs. would go for it.
Luckily, at least for Midge, the new Wilco album is of the more mellow persuasion.
